Welcome to Australian Seabird Rescue.

Australian Seabird Rescue is a grassroots community group with a passion for coastal wildlife rescue and conservation.

With branches along the coastline of New South Wales and sistergroups around the country, ASRs strategic objective is to reduce the human impact on wildlife through rescue, research and education. Since commencing operations ASR members rescued thousands of animals, talked to thousands of community groups in person and through the media, and trained hundreds of wildlife carers in the rescue and rehabilitation of marine wildlife.

Known for our work rescuing the Australian Pelican and over the years our expertise has expanded to seabirds, shorebirds, sea turtles and freshwater turtles. ASR’s objective is to reduce the human impact on wildlife through rescue, research and education. Our Head office is based at The Widlifelink Sanctuary in Ballina, known as the North Coast Branch operating between the Tweed and the Clarence. We also have branches on the south and central coasts. We are not open to the public but you can book a tour for ten or more people or visit the Wildlifelink Sanctuary during NSW School holidays on weekdays at 10am for a one hour tour .We also have a fresh new website and you can donate there! You can go to the link on the bottom of our new website Donations are processed by Paymate and we can supply you with a tax deductible receipt if you request one. (Sourced from website 23/08/2021)
