The Parrot Society of Australia is an incorporated, not-for-profit organisation founded in 1980. We are based in Brisbane, the sub-tropical capital of the beautiful State of Queensland.
Australia has over fifty parrot species, which is one-sixth of the Worlds parrots. This is part of what makes Australia such a beautiful Country and provides all Australians with the opportunity to witness these remarkable creatures. As one of Australias leading Avicultural Societies, we relish the opportunity to represent these species to the World. We are proud to have Members from all across Australia and the World, and we love how diversified our Membership base is. From companion parrot owners, to conservationists, through to bird-breeders, scientists, veterinarians, and so many more; we have such a wide array of people who make The Parrot Society of Australia extremely special!
